X Factor goes all posh

Date: 09/12/2005

Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, is reportedly being lined up to replace Louis Walsh as a judge on the next series of hit ITV1 show the X Factor.

Despite the fact that no official comment has yet been made, reports suggest that Victoria is set to receive a £1 million payday for the job.

And Victoria would welcome the job, a source told the Daily Star.

"It would be a dream come true for Victoria. She's still keen to forge a telly career and shows don't come much bigger than this."

Victoria would join current judges Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne in a revamped version of the show, with the aim of attracting even more viewers.

Cowell too, would seemingly relish the idea, judging by comments he recently made: "I'd love to judge with Victoria. She is very witty and can poke fun at herself. I think the X Factor is the best opportunity for the public to see the real side of her."

She'd have to be out of her mind to pass up the opportunity.
