Fiddy, possibly the hardest man ever to speak with such a pronounced lisp, has signed up to play a concert in a tiny Sunderland pub.

What could connect the rapper to the new Glass Spider bar remains a mystery, but Fiddy has reportedly signed up for the concert as a favour to a DJ friend.

"We've booked 50 Cent and his people have confirmed it with us," venue director, Anthony Griffiths told CD:UK.

"This is going to be like nothing that's happened in any Sunderland pub before.

"It's going to be the biggest and best night the city has ever seen. It will definitely put this area on the map," he added.

Fans who may have wanted to get up close and personal (with 50? Eeeeewww) will be disappointed to learn that tickets will not be going on general sale.
