| American rock band The Killers have revealed that their second album will sound a lot different from their hugely successful Hot Fuss debut. Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, frontman Brandon Flowers was very candid about the way reaction to the last album made him feel. "It's [the new album] more American. People called us the best English band to come from America and all that... That's cool, and English rock is great, but it's forced me to listen to American music to see what I was missing." While many fans of the fantastic first Killers album will probably be shouting "Nothing!" in a bid to keep the sound the same, Flowers said Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty have been huge influences on the new album. Recording of the new album should begin on February 15th, according to the magazine, when songs called Peace of Mind, The River Is Wild and For Reasons Unknown, will get the treatment in the studio.
