Pussycat Dolls hold on to No.1

Date: 20/09/2005

The stunning all-female Pussycat Dolls have held onto the number one spot in the UK singles chart for a second week running with their hit single Don't cha.

Described by the New York Post as "the perfect summer mix of rap and dance", the Pussycat Doll's first track has been a raging success on both sides of the Atlantic.Pussycat Dolls hold on to No.1

Featuring Busta Rhymes, the six-strong American dance group's single saw off competition from Sean Paul's We Be Burnin' and the Gorillaz' track Dare, pushing them into second and third position.

Although all three tracks are in the top 20 in the polyphonic ringtone chart, it is the Pussycat Dolls who reign supreme this week, with their position as number one in both the polyphonic ring tone and UK singles charts.

Other hot polyphonic ringtone choices Daniel Powter and Rihanna held onto spots in the top ten.

Powter's Bad Day managed to stay at number five, while Caribbean singer Rihanna's Pon de Replay slipped two places to number eight.
