Oasis big winners at Q Awards

The Q Awards ceremony was held last night, with some big names amongst the winners.

A range of stars from the world of music and entertainment attended the event, with Jonathan Ross and Charlotte Church amongst those presenting the prizes.

Coldplay won the Best Act in the World Today category, beating off competition from Green Day, U2, Oasis and Muse.

The winners of Best Video was Gorillaz, whose Feel Good Inc.Oasis big winners at Q Awards has been nominated for a similar award at November's MTV Europe Awards.

The biggest winners on the night were arguably Oasis, who nabbed two of the distinguished prizes, winning Best Album and the People's Choice Award.

The awards were memorable for the fact that they recognised all-time great John Lennon, formerly of the Beatles.

His wife Yoko Ono was there to accept the Q Special Award on behalf of her late husband, who was tragically killed in the early 1980s.
