| Madonna has scored her 12th number one UK hit with new single Sorry entering the top of the chart. Madge first reached number one more than 20 years ago with Into The Groove in 1985. After a fairly dull few weeks it's all change elsewhere in the top ten with Corinne Bailey Rae, winner of the BBC new talent survey Sound of 2006 entering at number two with Put Your Records On. Leo Sayer and DJ Meck clung to the top three with joint effort Thunder In My Heart. Westlife's latest effort, Amazing, entered at number four and the Darkness's Is It Just Me at number eight. Over in the album charts Jack Johnson enjoyed a Brit Award-related bounce to number one for year-old album In Between Dreams. Old-timer Neil Diamond had the only new entry among the top thirty albums with 12 Songs entering at number nine. |
