| LL Cool J has revealed that he and J. Lo have been back in the studio recording a track for his upcoming album (don't call it a comeback
he's been here for years. Like we hadn't noticed). The two last worked together on the 2002 All I Have, with Lo doing her best pouting stuck-at-home-wifey routine while LL "kept it real" on the block. Or as real as you can keep it in a fur coat. "Me and J. Lo work really well together. People like the last song we did, it was a big song and did really well. But this one is a little more club and a little more cool," he told MTV. Proving the time honoured hip-hop career path rule of diminishing returns, LL has attempted to bolster the fading appeal of his last few records with the talents of younger, hotter stars. Even by aging rap-star standards, LL has outdone himself, persuading Juelz Santana, Freeway, Pharrell Williams, 112 and Ginuwine to appear on the LP, as well as Mary J. Blige. Despite clearly having very little to say on his own record, LL insists that it will be a personal, autobiographical affair, going so far as using the name on his birth certificate in the album title, Todd Smith. Ok, his recording name begins to make more sense now.
