Kylie has been given a limited "all clear" by doctors treating her for breast cancer, her sister Danni has announced.

The "full remission" diagnosis means that she is free of cancer cells, but there is still a chance that they may return.

The 37-year-old pop princess was told she had cancer in May last year and underwent immediate surgery to remove a lump in her breast.

Since then she has been receiving intensive chemotherapy to kill off any remaining cancer cells and to ensure that it does not reoccur.

Danni made the announcement on her official website. "My best news to start the new year is that my sister has had her 'full remission'," she wrote.

"Last year was a difficult year for many people - I'm just happy we have a close family and could all support each other."

Kylie is said to be keen to get back in the studio and resume touring dates cancelled after her diagnosis.
