| There's a new type of ringtone doing the rounds that you won't find on most people's phones. Following the success of pop songs as ringtones, and people doing impressions of engines starting as ringtones (Crazy Frog), comes real cars starting as ringtones. A host of car manufacturers and related companies are now offering the sound of cars being started as ringtones for mobile phones so that when you are called you get a brmm brmm rather than a ring ring. Aston Martin branded Motorola phones featuring the Aston Martin logo and the sound of the car itself are to be released. "With exclusive digital content and ring-tones in keeping with the purring engine of one of the world's most prestigious sports cars, the unique Motorola V600 set will undoubtedly be a must-have for all car lovers and Aston Martin enthusiasts," a Motorola statement said this week. With Siemens launching an exclusive Formula 1 ringtone on their limited edition F1 phones at the Grand Prix in Barcelona back in 2003 it would seem that cars are the way forward in the ringtone world. Who's going to tell Crazy Frog that?
